Diversity

A while back, a group here in Michigan got together to help a large event be more respectful of the diversity in our community. The booklet linked here was the result.

At the end of that process, the team agreed that the best path forward was to encourage those who found this information useful to donate to a specific fund for scholarships that would help marginalized (BIPOC, queer, low income, and/or disabled) people to attend Pagan events, or to help fund dedicated spaces at events for those attendees.

If you would like to purchase the booklet, please go to our shop.

If you would like to make a donation, please go to our Pagan Event Diversity Scholarship Project campaign.

If you would like to apply for a scholarship, please read below. We cannot guarantee that your application will be chosen, nor can we guarantee that we will be able to fund your entire request. We would rather partially fund several people than completely fund one person at this time, if we have adequate funding.

Applications will be open for the month of April and the month of October. From 12:01 am on the first of the month, through 11:59 pm on the last day of the month, you may email your request to diversity@spiralmoon.net. Decisions will be announced no later than noon on the 15th of the following month.

You may apply only for one event per open application period, but you may apply again at a future application period, regardless of whether or not you received a scholarship previously.

All attendees are requested to let us know after the event what they thought of it, and what they gained from their attendance. We'd also love to hear about any particularly good or bad diversity & inclusion efforts you saw at the event.
