Pendulums have been used as far back as ancient Rome and Greece for divination. Pendulums are, like dowsing rods, used for many types of dowsing (finding the unknown) and divination (finding what has not yet happened), including “water witching” or “doodlebugging” (both of which are used to refer to the identification of where water lies, where to dig wells, where pipes are buried, or where gold or other resources will be found). Pendulums are also one of the easiest methods of divination to learn. A lot of people’s first introduction to them is the folk lore around using them to determine whether an unborn child is a boy or a girl, which was common practice in the days before ultrasounds.
In this class, we’ll talk a bit about the history of pendulums, and a bit about the physics behind them. We’ll learn about cleansing a pendulum, connecting with one, and using it for finding things, reading chakras, answering questions, and more. We’ll learn about pendulum charts and books, and we’ll learn how to make and use improvised pendulums.
For this class, it’s best if you have a pendulum already, but if not, a necklace with a decent sized pendant, a piece of string or fishing line and a rock, ring, button, bolt, or nut will work. We will also have ordering options to purchase pendulums and pendulum boards and cloths after the class and recommended reading options.
This class will be virtual for accessibility purposes.
This class will be recorded, and you’ll get access to the recording to watch later.
This class is free for general or supporting members of Spiral Moon Family Circle (log in to the members area and you’ll find the pendulum basics class, the class link will be there). $35 for non-members.
